MOVIE RECOMMENDATION

jennariaSo you know how I posted yesterday that we were going with some friends to see Hidden Figures?
OMG GO SEE IT.
Things this movie includes:
Black women being the awesomest awesome ever to awesome. (So, business as usual?)
Healthy relationships involving said black women. I don't just mean that every single one of the husbands (and romantic-interest-who-becomes-a-husband) are supportive as hell of their wives working (overtime!) at NASA, I mean that the friendships between the three main women are solid and glorious and yes yes yes, this is what I want in movies.
Low amount of White Savior bullshit. (My wife did spot one moment, so it's not none, but it's so much lower than it could've been.)
Did I mention the black women being awesome? Also 1960s fashion and NASA and math.
I loved this movie. The theater was pretty damn full, and gorgeously reactive: we applauded at multiple points (and laughed at other points - no crying, though? if that makes a difference to anyone). Go see this movie.
