On my to-do list for the next couple weeks:

*Make a giant squid. Well, okay, begin making the first of two giant squids, and by 'begin' I mean 'draw out the pattern pieces and cut the fabric, because that's gonna be a long time sewing'.

(It's two squids because one is to be raffled off to some lucky Blogathon donor. Originally it was just Stef's donors, but then we decided that since I'm doing most of the sewing, it'll be both of our donors. And the other? Well, c'mon, every decent apartment should have a giant squid. Plus if I get desperate for an Anime Boston costume, I can dress as a Japanese schoolgirl and carry around the squid and be La Blue Girl!)

(...I'm joking about that last. I think. Maybe. At least about calling myself La Blue Girl. There are small children at Anime Boston, after all. I reserve the right to dress that way for Hentai Dubbing, though.)

*Make an Anne Boleyn bear for Stef for her birthday. May require retrieving the bear pattern from Connecticut. (And by 'Anne Boleyn bear,' yes, I mean one with its head sitting in its lap. Yay for convenient patterns. The skirt and ruff collar will require a bit more improvisation.)

*Write. I have so many WIP, and they've gotten barely anything written on them, either because they're depressing, or complicated, or both. Well, and the fact that for two months straight my word-mind was preoccupied with mysteries and review-mindset, which is not the same as writing-mindset. It's taken me this long, and the deliberate starting of an id-story (which is never going to be shown to anyone, it's just there for me to be self-indulgent and to unjam the word-mind) to get me writing properly again.

In the meantime: it is cold-ish and it is rainy. Tea is called for. :curls up with her laptop:

I somehow doubt that a squid with suggestively placed tentacles will permanently scar small children. And if they know what La Blue Girl *is*, that's not your fault!
