Countdown to Blogathon 2010 is on! It's unofficial this year, but when have we ever let a little thing like that slow us down? ...well, not when it comes to charity and sleep deprivation, anyway.
So! On July 31st into August 1st, I'll be blogging to benefit the Nature Conservancy's efforts in the Gulf. As always, if you do donate, please let me know, if only so I can thank you!
This year, I'll be blogging about mysteries. Not just classic authors like Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, or near-classic like Ngaio Marsh or Margery Allingham, but more modern female authors as well! There will be charming ditzes (and not-as-charming morons), world-weary private investigators, cats, dogs, computers, and at least two accused Mary Sues -- all sorts of detectives, professional and amateur, intelligent and just lucky. There will be corpses new, old, dry, bloody, and occasionally missing entirely. There will be theft! Romance! Drama! Gender theory! All sorts of thrills, or as close as book reviews can come!
Regardless, come cheer on me and the rest of Team Mariposa, as we blog our way through 24 hours, 49 posts. Will we stay awake? Will we stay coherent? Will the apartment cat stay off all the keyboards? Come find out!
