jennaria: Kitty in a teacup (tea?)

Trip to Boston this past weekend was supposed to be nice, relaxing - hang out with friends! Meet new goddaughter! Instead, we flew on Thursday, a.k.a. The Day When The Entire US Apparently Panicked, and spent half the weekend trying to persuade people to talk about something other than That Damn Virus so my anxiety would not go through the roof. (Failed. Ack.)

Then there was a whole Thing where a whole bunch of friends saw my phone and were like OMG IT'S GOING TO EXPLODE. The battery had expanded enough that the screen was bowing out, see. I do have a new phone now, mostly because said friends insisted on kidnapping me off to Best Buy soonest.

In any case: got back home safe and sound, if somewhat grumpy. Am now working from home, because Hogwarts, like most centers of education, does not want us on campus if at all humanly possible. Both Wife and I find this odd. Fluff and Pallais, on the other hand, are ecstatic.

I am glad you have a new phone. That sounded a bit unnerving.

I am dealing with too many people who think if you step outside your door you will automatically die of IT. I am a cautious person when it comes to health things, but even I think some people are going too far (and, ironically, usually the ones who aren't "high risk".

I am usually reasonably calm, but occassionally I catch myself thinking, "I know this has been home for 2 weeks, was wiped with Clorox wipes when it was brought home, and hasn't been touched since, but I need to put on cleaning gloves and clean it to touch it.
