Return of Day 22

jennariaInasmuch as I totally failed to pick out a harem, let's try this again with 'gang of friends I hang out with,' and the further proviso of only one character per anime because otherwise it gets boring.
Yomiko Readman (READ OR DIE) - would have the best suggestions for books to read, given that she will canonically read anything (and apparently has an eye for good new fiction).
Phichit Chulanont (YURI!!! ON ICE) - clearly knows how to handle people with anxiety (:cough: Yuuri :cough:), and also has a good eye for photography, if a bad ability to govern his impulse to post said photographs.
Hikaru Shindou (HIKARU NO GO) - on the one hand, way obsessed with Go and Heian-era Japan? On the other hand, I know juuust enough about those subjects to be willing to listen to him talk on about them. Also on the impulsive side, which makes me wonder what would happen when I put him and Phichit together.
Takashi Natsume (NATSUME'S BOOK OF FRIENDS) - I talked about him back on Day 26, but the theory still holds. He's retiring, to help balance out Hikaru and Phichit, and a little too laid back about the youkai constantly around him (from what canon I've read of his)? But pretty good about making sure they don't cause too much hijinks.
Chihiro Ogino (SPIRITED AWAY) - I would pay actual money for a crossover where adult!Chihiro meets Natsume. But seriously, I would love to hang out with an adult Chihiro: she loves stories and history and youkai, and I wonder what all she's gotten up to in the past 15-odd years.
Hajime Murata (SHINGU: SECRET OF THE STELLAR WARS) - has seen stuff, is good at rolling with the punches, and loves story-telling. He's a main character, but he's not showy like Hikaru. Given who his friends are from canon, he'd also take youkai in stride.
...yeah, so apparently I had a Secret Theme. I thought about putting in Charming But Fucked Up (Kurama from YUYU HAKUSHO, Soshi Miketsukami from INU X BOKU), but really those kind of friends are best in small doses. Instead, I've got a collection of people who have found their mental balance. We are all about the chill here. Mostly. Sorta. Okay, no, any group that has Hikaru in it is never gonna be entirely chill.
