19: What is your favorite slice of life anime?

I'm not sure if this counts (mostly because I have only slightly more of an idea as to how you define a 'slice of life anime' than I did a 'moe' anime), but I'll pick MIRACLE TRAIN. It maybe sorta kinda has a plot, as of episode 9? Look, there was that one episode where the train was mysteriously not on the tracks, and instead was traveling through space, that totally counts. But mostly it's a paid advertisement for the Oedo line, wherein all the problems of the Guest of the Week can be resolved by half an hour with the personifications of the stations along the line (all handsome young men, natch). It's deeply silly, but it's fun nonetheless.

20: What is your favorite adventure anime?

I'm going to pick SHINGU: SECRET OF THE STELLAR WARS. How well does it fit, well, ha ha ha, how well do any of these fit. Mysterious transfer student! Ominous student council who has way more power than they should for a bunch of middle-schoolers! Alien invasion! Tremendous cosmic power, controlled by a teenager! ...also adults who do, in fact, act like responsible adults (including teachers who call the student council members on their nonsense); the mysterious transfer student actually befriending the class rep (our actual main character) and trying to fit in, rather than just mysterious-ing all over the place; the alien invasion thwarted in part by adult diplomacy; and the tremendous cosmic power (which does not belong to the class rep I mentioned) has an realistic learning curve that covers the entire series. And most importantly, a main character (Hajime, the aforementioned class rep) who's a genuinely good guy without either being annoying or boring.

(Also, this is my retroactive answer to Day 4's question. I would pay ridiculous money for a spin-off about Hajime, Muryou, and Nayuta (and the rest), say in high school or college. Okay, you've faced down the Big Thing! Now what? Is Muryou actually as chill as he likes to seem? What will Nayuta do with herself now that Shingu is no longer a factor? Will Hajime follow his dad into interstellar diplomacy? Will Shun stop being a jerk? - wait, no, I can guess the answer to that last, and it's 'no.')
