Je suis un tired.
Oct. 9th, 2010 05:23 pmEventually, there will be Saturday Review. There will also be pictures, although rather more slowly as I don't know where my camera cord is to download them onto my computer. Eventually.
In the meantime -- well, the short form is this: I decided I was up for an Adventure this weekend, especially as a bus to Cape Cod was relatively cheap. And so far it's been mostly yay -- I've seen the oldest public aquarium in the US (opened in 1847), checked out the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute Exhibit Center (which includes not just 'why yes, we did locate the Titanic' but also 'why yes, we did discover volcanic vents on the ocean floor which nobody even guessed existed' -- eee, itty bitty glow-in-the-dark octopi!), and spotted a Tea Shop upon which I have intentions for tomorrow.
The not-yay? Well, see, the bus that goes from Woods Hole to Falmouth leaves every hour on the hour. And I missed it by five minutes. So I figured, hey, that's all right, I'll just walk it! It's not that far, right? There's a handy bike path and everything!
Ooops.
Back on the bright side, I got lots of exercise - like, somewhere around six miles worth all told -- and lots of photos. But I am going to be sitting here for a little while longer before I even consider getting up and heading back out for dinner.
