I remember seeing a letter to the editor - what editor, for what magazine, I don't remember - wherein the letter-writer was quite indignant at BATMAN for :checks notes: coming out the same summer, because Clearly Last Crusade Was Infinitely Superior, and BATMAN was preventing LAST CRUSADE from..setting records? I agree that they're both awesome, although different flavors of awesome.
