jennaria: Japanese kanji (with a heart) saying 'I heart yaoi!' (Generic Japanese)

I've mentioned a couple times that I'm trying to work through my Crunchyroll queue, with mixed success. For the idly curious (or anyone feeling opinionated), here is the entire list.

First, the series that I've attempted:

FIST OF THE NORTH STAR - 4 episodes watched. Sometimes you just want to watch a guy who can infallibly defeat all comers.

HUNTER X HUNTER - 1 episode watched. I loved the manga (although I admit that I tapped out in the middle of some long arc featuring Kurapika, who is very pretty but about whom I could not care less - I am here for Killua being a dysfunctional murder-baby who isn't sure what this friendship thing is, and Gon being Standard Sunny-Natured Shonen Hero). The anime hasn't impressed me as much.

KUROKO NO BASUKE (Kuroko's Basketball) - 6 episodes watched. I love the characters, but I stalled out because I just don't care about basketball, and when watching by yourself...

NATSUME YUJIN-CHO (Natsume's Book of Friends) - 1 episode watched. I loved the manga, which I read at the library and need to buy for myself dammit. (I also have NATSUME YUJIN-CHO 4 (?) in the queue - don't know why Crunchyroll kept it separate.)

SWORD ART ONLINE - Not sure how many episodes watched - we were part-way through the Gungrave arc when Crunchyroll threw a hissy and froze on us, and now won't tell me how far we got so we can go back and finish watching.

UN-GO - 5 episodes watched. I am a sucker for a decent mystery series. Unfortunately they tend to be slow going, because the wife isn't interested in them like I am.

HAKKENDEN: EIGHT DOGS OF THE EAST - 1 episode watched. I think this is a recommendation from my best friend Kay, who watches a lot more anime than I do. On the other hand, I remembered nothing about it from the title, and had to Google it to remember what it was about.

CHIHAYAFURU - 5 episodes watched. I saw it recommended to those of us who loved HIKARU NO GO. Pretty, but it's also true that we wandered away and haven't wandered back.

GARGANTIA ON THE VERDUROUS PLANET - 11 episodes watched. I swear we'll finish this and I'll write it up properly. As it is, it's been sitting at one-episode-from-done for, uh, a couple years now? :wince:

MAOYU - 6 episodes watched. Another recommendation from Kay. Has been sitting unwatched, as I recall, due to the desire to shake some sense into the hero.

USAGI DROP - 8 episodes watched. This one I've reviewed here. Short version: realistic, adorable how-do-I-parent, beautiful art.

THE ROSE OF VERSAILLES - Not sure how much I've watched, actually, as I started watching this off a friend's DVD and not direct on Crunchyroll. It is super 70s anime - so many sparkles!

NOBUNAGUN - 6 episodes watched. I was watching this on my own, and haven't picked it back up again since we moved, but my memory is that this was straight-up crack. Like, logic need not apply.

CHI'S SWEET HOME - 4 episodes watched, although that doesn't mean much when each episode is three minutes long. It's a great palate cleanser if we get overloaded on angst, though - it's straight-up cute and doesn't pretend otherwise.

CASE CLOSED - Currently on Episode 754, but I know damn well I haven't watched all 753 previous episodes. I enjoy it, but it's for pretty much the same reason I enjoy watching Poirot, or Midsomer Murders - sometimes, you just want to watch murders that are dramatically deserved (or dramatically not deserved), and everything is resolved in an hour, two tops.

IS IT WRONG TO TRY TO PICK UP GIRLS IN A DUNGEON - 1 episode watched, also talked about here recently-ish. Short version: I'm pretty sure I've seen this show before. It's just a question of whether I watch to see this particular take on it.

KOKORO CONNECT - 1 episode watched, also talked about here recently-ish. Short version: I can see why it's interesting, but it didn't grab me.

MIRACLE TRAIN - 7 episodes watched. Still delicious adorable crack so far.

ACE ATTORNEY - 1 episode watched, also talked about recently-ish. Short version: where is the slash I was promised.

IZETTA: THE LAST WITCH - 2 episodes watched, also talked about recently-ish. Short version: apparently all the slash migrated to this series instead.

CARDCAPTOR SAKURA - another series that I've watched in part, but on DVD, so I don't know how many episodes. In the queue because dude, it's a classic for a reason.
